According to reports, according to the latest statistics from the China Construction Machinery Industry Association on major excavator manufacturers, in February 2025, 19270 units of various types of excavators were sold, a year-on-year increase of 52.8%. Among them, the domestic sales volume was 11640 units, a year-on-year increase of 99.4%; 7630 units were exported, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%. In January and February 2025, a total of 31782 excavators were sold, a year-on-year increase of 27.2%. Among them, domestic sales reached 17045 units, a year-on-year increase of 51.4%; 14737 units were exported, a year-on-year increase of 7.37%.

As a barometer of the construction machinery industry, whether it is the 99.4% year-on-year growth in domestic sales of excavators in February or the 51.4% year-on-year growth in domestic sales from January to February, it is enough to double the confidence of the industry. Institutional analysts believe that such a high growth rate is the result of multiple factors, including a low base during the 2024 Spring Festival, accelerated infrastructure investment, policy incentives for equipment updates, downstream start-up recovery, and policy support. Therefore, it can be predicted that the domestic sales of excavators will increase significantly, and the industry's recovery trend for the whole year will be basically determined.
